The International Vocal Scholarship Program (IVSP) is a partial-scholarship program that assists aspiring singers who are unable to fully afford professional vocal lessons. The total scholarship program is worth $14,400 annually and is awarded to select students from around the world. Each recipient is offered the opportunity to study with Richard Fink IV for a six month term either online using Skype or iChat, or at Castle Nine Vocal Studios located near Rochester NY.

IVSP winners pay a rate of $45/hr for the same education and dedication Richard provides his $130/hr students who are signed to a major label. A total of twelve hours are available to each student per term and can be used in a number of ways; 1/2 hour every week, 1 hour every other week, or used only when needed. Recipients can pay one lesson at a time and are not obligated to use all of the hours awarded to them.


HOW TO APPLY:
Simply fill out the IVSP application form below and press 'Submit'. A panel of industry professionals will review each eligible applicant and decide who will be awarded a partial-scholarship based upon their submitted application, current skill level and geographical location.

All applicants are notified of their results via email shortly before the six month term they applied for begins. If you are not selected, we hope that you will apply for the next term.

1st Term: 04/04/11 - 09/30/11 3rd Term: 04/02/12 - 09/29/12
2nd Term: 10/03/11 - 03/31/12 4th Term: 10/01/12 - 03/30/13


ELIGABILITY:
1: Applicants must be at least 12 years old to participate. (ages 12 -17 must have their legal guardian's permission)
2: Applicants must be able to communicate in English.
3: Applicant must provide at least one live video performance of an original or cover song, with no pitch correction or post-production effects, available for online viewing. (webcam is ok)
4: Recipients may not participate in two consecutive six month terms.
5: Current or previous students of Richard's can only apply if they have not recieved any lessons for at least 60 days prior to the upcoming term's starting date.
6: Relative's of Richard as well as the members of the judging panel are not eligible.
7: Submissions must be received by 10PM EST on September 23rd, 2012 to be considered for the 10/01/12 - 03/30/13 term.
